Why is this important?
Effective HIV prevention interventions have been proven to reduce HIV transmission. People who test positive for HIV can make significant behavior changes to improve their own health and reduce the risk of transmission to their partners. Early initiation of antiretroviral therapy preserves the health of people living with HIV and reduces their risk of transmitting HIV to others by 93%
